To the Moon & Back: Amy & Elliott’s White Wedding at The Treebridge Hotel, Middlesbrough

To the Moon & Back Amy & Elliott’s White Wedding at The Treebridge Hotel, Middlesbrough

If you’re planning a wedding that feels effortlessly stylish with just the right amount of detail, Amy & Elliott’s wedding in Middlesbrough at The Treebridge Hotel might be right up your street.

I had the pleasure of providing a few simple but striking decor pieces for their wedding — including my much-loved moon backdrop and minimalist centrepieces that tied everything together with a soft, timeless look.

A Bright and Beautiful Setting for a Wedding in Middlesbrough

The Treebridge is a lovely spot for a wedding. The natural light in the ceremony room is amazing thanks to the big windows and clean white walls — an absolute dream if you're into bright, airy spaces (and for getting gorgeous photos without needing a tonne of extra lighting).

It also has some really pretty gardens, which make for a perfect backdrop to drinks receptions, portraits, or even a tipi if you're going for that festival-meets-elegant vibe.

A Moon Moment (That Moved!)

Amy & Elliott chose my moon backdrop, dressed in white foliage and finished with a glowing neon sign reading “to the moon & back” — a simple but personal touch that added a little extra character to their ceremony.

Despite being over 1.8 metres tall, the moon is surprisingly lightweight, which meant it was easily moved after the ceremony to sit behind their head table. It ended up working beautifully for both parts of the day, and it’s always nice to make a statement piece work that little bit harder!

Minimal Centrepieces with a Little Pop

For the tables, Amy & Elliott went for a minimalist centrepiece setup — glass vases with candles and preserved foliage. Simple, stylish, and right at home with their white aesthetic. The preserved foliage really popped against the white table linens and soft candlelight, which created a warm, inviting atmosphere without going over the top.

I really love using preserved foliage in weddings — not only does it look gorgeous, but it’s also a low-waste option that feels a bit more considered than fresh florals that only last the day.

A Few Final Words

Amy & Elliott’s wedding proves you don’t have to go big to create something beautiful. A handful of thoughtful details, some clever reuse of key pieces, and a venue that lets the light do its thing — that’s a win in my book.

Thanks again to Amy & Elliott for having me as part of your day, and to the photographer, Michael Shaw, for capturing everything so beautifully.
