Camille & Callum’s Bradbury Glade Wedding | Wild Fern Weddings
I first met Camille and Callum at an open day, where they saw some of my work, and we started planning their wedding at Bradbury Glade.
Camille was very organised, and I knew quite early on that having the finer details taken care of would make a big difference to how relaxed she felt on the day. They wanted the wedding to be relaxed and to run smoothly, without having to think about what needed to happen next.
They also really wanted their dog, Crumble, to be part of the day, so Bradbury Glade being dog friendly was important to them.
The overall look was foliage and white, with little touches of blush pink. It was a June wedding and, thankfully, we had one of those proper warm, dry days where you can actually enjoy being outside.

Styling Bradbury Glade
I've worked at Bradbury Glade quite a few times now, and I think one of the best things about it is how tucked away it feels. You're surrounded by woodland, and once you're there it doesn't really feel like you're close to anything else.
That always influences how I style the venue. I don't want to cover up what makes Bradbury Glade what it is. The wooden ceremony barn, the trees and all that natural greenery already give you so much to work with, so I tend to bring in lots of foliage and let the setting do some of the work.
For Camille and Callum, I used my Everly Arch and Evie Canopy Trees in the ceremony barn, with white and blush flowers added into the arch.
The reception was in the tipi, where we carried the same colours through with blush pink table runners and chair sashes. I used bud vases with preserved roses in white and blush pink, and the Moon Frame had their neon sign reading “to the moon and back.”
It was quite a simple colour palette, but I think that suited the venue. There was no need to throw lots of different colours into it.
The flowers
Camille's bouquet was probably my favourite part of the styling.
She wanted it to have a really full foliage look, with more white roses than I would usually put into one of my preserved bouquets. The flowers were mainly preserved, with some dried elements mixed in.
The bridesmaids' bouquets had little touches of pink, and the buttonholes were mostly white and foliage. Callum's was fuller than the others and had some pink in it too.
I also added white and pink flowers into the arch, so the flowers weren't just something separate from the décor. They tied everything together without making the whole thing feel too matchy-matchy.
The coordination side
This was actually the first wedding I've coordinated at Bradbury Glade, although I've worked there many times doing the décor.
Doing the coordination gave me a different view of the venue.
The Bradbury team are brilliant on the day, but because there is a DIY element to the venue, there are lots of smaller jobs that still need someone to keep an eye on. Making sure suppliers arrive when they should, knowing what needs to happen next, checking that everyone knows the plan and dealing with the little things that inevitably crop up.
Usually that ends up being the couple or one of their friends or family members.
I arrived at 10am and spent the morning getting all the finishing touches done — setting up the crisp wall, putting out the place settings and making sure suppliers arrived and had what they needed.
I stayed until 8pm, after their first dance.
The nice thing was that once everything was underway, it all just worked. Camille and Callum didn't need to be checking timings or worrying about whether someone had arrived. They could actually get on with their wedding.
Then the singer cancelled
A few days before the wedding, their acoustic singer had to cancel because they were ill.
Not ideal but sometimes unavoidable.
Luckily, David Aryn was able to step in, and he was absolutely brilliant.
Because I'd been involved in the planning, I could fill David in on all the little things that weren't necessarily going to be obvious from a running order. Things like how Camille and Callum wanted to be announced into the tipi, and the timings they'd discussed with me.
That came in particularly handy during the ceremony.
Camille was walking down the aisle to David singing Run, and we wanted to get the timing just right so that she entered the aisle at a particular point in the song.
David and I were quietly working out the timing between us.
We got it right.
We both did a little silent fist bump in the air afterwards, which made me laugh. Nobody else probably noticed, but I did.
Those are the bits of coordination I really enjoy. Nobody sees you doing it, and that's kind of the point. Everything just happens when it should.
And Crumble was there too
Crumble was there for the wedding and featured in their photographs, which was lovely.
He was a big part of why a dog-friendly venue was important to them in the first place, so it would have felt strange if he hadn't been there.
I always like seeing the things that are genuinely important to a couple make their way into the wedding. It doesn't have to be a huge personalised display or some elaborate wedding detail. Sometimes it's just having your dog there because you couldn't imagine the day without him.
The bit that got me
One of the loveliest things happened during the speeches.
Camille thanked me in her speech for making the venue look beautiful and for doing her bouquets.
I was hiding out of sight at the time, but I could hear every word.
And I was really emotional.
You spend so much time behind the scenes of a wedding. There's the planning beforehand, then the van loading, setting everything up, checking suppliers, moving things around, keeping an eye on timings and generally trying to make sure nobody has to worry about anything.
Most of that isn't really visible to the couple or their guests.
So hearing Camille mention it in her speech meant a lot.
Looking back
What I loved most about Camille and Callum's wedding was how much they both wanted to give each other the day they'd imagined.
You could see it.
It wasn't just Camille wanting her perfect wedding or Callum wanting his. They both cared about making the day right for the other person, and I could see how much love there was between them.
The foliage, the white and blush flowers, the tipi, the woodland setting, the Moon Frame and neon, and of course Crumble all came together around that.
But for me, the best part was seeing them actually enjoy it.
I was there to style the venue, make the bouquets and keep everything moving behind the scenes. Once all of that was done, I could step back a little and watch them have the day they'd spent so long planning.
And that's probably the best bit of the job.

Yes, which was really important to Camille and Callum as their dog Crumble was such a big part of their day. He was there for the wedding and even made it into plenty of the photos. If having your dog there is important to you, Bradbury Glade is a lovely setting for it, with all that woodland around you.
What wedding décor works well at Bradbury Glade?
The setting really lends itself to natural, woodland-inspired styling. There’s already so much character in the wooden ceremony barn and the surrounding trees, so we like to work with that rather than trying to cover it up. For Camille and Callum, we used plenty of foliage, white flowers and touches of blush pink, along with our Everly Arch, Evie Canopy Trees and Moon Frame with its ‘to the moon and back’ neon.
Can you provide wedding coordination at Bradbury Glade?
Yes. Our on-the-day coordination is designed for couples who want to enjoy their wedding without having to keep an eye on everything happening behind the scenes. For Camille and Callum, I was there from 10am until after their first dance, handling the finishing touches, place settings, supplier arrivals, the crisp wall and all the smaller details that help the day run smoothly. I also worked with their acoustic singer to make sure the ceremony happened exactly when they wanted it to.
Can you provide both wedding flowers and décor?
Yes. We can bring the flowers and décor together so everything feels like it belongs to the same wedding rather than being chosen separately. Camille’s bouquet was made using preserved flowers with lots of white roses and foliage, with softer blush pink touches carried through into the bridesmaids’ flowers, buttonholes and reception flowers. We also added flowers to the ceremony arch and used preserved roses in the bud vases around the tipi.
How far in advance should I book wedding décor or coordination at Bradbury Glade?
It’s always worth getting in touch as soon as you have your date and venue booked, particularly if you want a combination of décor, flowers and on-the-day coordination. Some of our larger pieces and coordination dates can book up well in advance.
