The 70’s boho vibe began re-emerging in the 2000s and I’m so pleased that it’s still going so strong in the wedding industry today! I love the freedom it gives couples for an eclectic mix of styling (vintage boho, boho chic, beach boho), where even simple designs can make a big impact, making it work for all budgets.
For this blog I’ve picked 2 venues where I think the boho theme works perfectly, although I do have to stress that I’ve seen boho work in a huge range of venues without a tipi or woodland in sight. So if you have your heart set on a particular venue but still want boho styling, it's definitely achievable and I’d love to chat with you more to show how I could help bring the boho vibe to your venue.
I’ve picked the following 2 venues based on one particular aspect which can be so vital for the boho wedding: outdoor ceremony space in picturesque surroundings. First up, Bradbury Glade.

Not just one of my favourite boho wedding venues, but one of my favourite wedding venues period! I’ve done set ups in quite a few tipis but Bradbury’s is definitely one of the most luxurious, with solid flooring and entrances, it’s got the look of a festival wedding but if the pesky British weather decides not to be on your side, it's still a really comfortable place to be. A thing to remember with any wedding with a strong outdoor element, whilst your old uni pals might be happy dancing in the rain and swapping their heels for wellies and jumping around in the mud, are the babies and older generation going to be comfortable in an open tipi exposed to the elements? This is where Bradbury’s tipi trumps so many out there and I can say first hand that the heating they provide is a big bonus on particular days. Done with equal perfection is the ceremony area with all the feels of an outdoor ceremony, but with clever transparent screening which means you’re completely protected from the elements. Also, being just on my doorstep I don’t have to charge additional mileage fees (a big plus these days with mileage fees adding a potential big cost to any quote you get from suppliers).
For added inspiration, here's some images from Johnny and Kate's wedding where I provided my Willow Arch (see above photo), my Everly Arch and also ivory chiffon drops with a sprig of eucalyptus. Nicola Rothwell Photography was the photographer on the day and she is just amazing at capturing images full of love and laughter without it feeling posed at all. Just take a look at her Instagram to see exactly what I mean!

Baby Moon - All images provided by Nick Georgiou Photography

The ultimate boho venue for your inner hippie! A glamping campsite running forest-based retreats, women’s retreats, yoga, craft workshops (including a wild harvest flower crown workshop!), therapies such as massages and even love spells, Baby Moon is so much more than just a wedding venue. Baby Moon offer a basic package for up to 50 guests using their own gathering space, or options to upgrade to a tipi for up to 100 guests. On my first visit to Baby Moon my couple opted for the tipi and along with the glamping bell tents it just oozed hippie boho festival chic and I really wanted to be a guest at this wedding, it just looked so much fun. Their celestial theme décor worked so well with the venue and my Luna moon frame and neon sign slotted in perfectly. I also provided my Everly Arch for their ceremony which is one of the most photogenic woodland ceremony areas I've ever seen! My couple then opted for my natural love lights to finish off their dance floor.
These photos from Nick Georgiou Photography highlight exactly what I mean about this wedding being full of fun, his documentary style approach to shooting a wedding re-tells the story of this day in such a perfectly natural way where every ounce of love and laughter is captured.
